About Dr. Randhawa

Dr Mini Randhawa has a degree in Human Nutrition from The University of British Columbia  and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University.

Upon completetion of her doctorate studies, she set up her clinic in her home town of Vancouver.  Dr. Randhawa actually grew up in one of Killarney's neighbouring communities. In fact, as a little girl, she went to Killarney community center for her swimming lessons....just like many of her young patients still do today!

Dr. Randhawa has been busy giving back to the community in many ways. She has apepared in numerous local media (The Christy Clark Show, RJ 1200, News 1130, Red FM, Global Television, Channel M) promoting the importance of proper eye care.

Dr. Randhawa regularly holds 'eye screening camps' at many of the district senior homes, community centers, boys and girls clubs, and preschools. Dr. Randhawa understands the importance of government support for health care, and as a result has met with many of our local politicians, including the Attorney General and Minister of Finance, to make sure they are kept up to date with important eye health care issues in our community.

Once a year, on Jan 15th, to celebrate the anniversary of the clinic opening, Dr. Randhawa holds an 'operation eyesight' day. On this day, 100% of all eye examination fees are donated to an organization that provides sight-restoring operations for the blind in third world countries. Dr. Randhawa has also recently been named an associate professor of clinical science at The University of British Columbia.
